Lives are Changed by Hope

20 years ago, Somboon was electrocuted in a high voltage accident and subsequently lost both of his arms. “I felt discouraged and almost committed suicide but I met a group of other disabled people who encouraged me and helped me decide to fight to live.”

Somboon started to take part in activities at CDPD to help him learn vocational skills and see his potential opportunities ahead. As Somboon got to know the staff, he was invited to attend church activities.

“The pastor explained the story of Jesus Christ to me and gave me a small radio to listen to the stories of God. Now, I believe in Jesus Christ. I know that no matter how big the problems I face, I will always have God by my side helping me.” Somboon received hope through the love and care of CDPD, the community around him, and from his new trust in God.
