Grandma Martha is a 60 year old woman from the Lahu tribe who took on the responsibility of caring for her grandson. Before entering the Family of Love program, her daily routine was to collect scrap metal, bottles, and old plastic items at a nearby garbage dump. This undignified work was her only option to support herself and her beloved grandson. They were not just scraping by; they were living day to day without hope for the future.
This past year, Grandma Martha has been an active participant in the Family of Love program. Through your support, she received valuable training on developing a stronger family and practical skills so her grandson can continue to live with her. Most recently, she received a livelihood grant to start her own small business in her neighborhood. Utilizing her skill at cooking tribal snacks, she opened a small food stall. This small business has fundamentally changed her life and restored her dignity. Grandma Martha no longer walks to the garbage dump. She now proudly earns a stable income selling food, supporting her grandson, experiencing God’s provision, and looking toward the future with genuine hope.
Snacks Bring Hope

We are so grateful for your faithful support. Because of supporters like you, Grandma Martha has traded the garbage dump for a food stall and she found her strength renewed. Thank you for being the tangible provision of God’s hope in her life. We pray you continue to partner with us, allowing us to empower many more grandmothers and families across the hilltribes of Thailand.
